I am a clinical psychologist and my interests include treating anxiety (including perfectionism, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, social anxiety and panic), mood disorders, grief, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship issues. I work with both adults and young people (aged 15+), as well as with parents who have children under the age of 2.

I work with the individual needs of each of my clients, drawing from a range of therapy models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic.

For the past 7 years I have also worked extensively in the area of perinatal and infant mental health: providing assessment, diagnosis and psychotherapy for women and their partners presenting with antenatal and postnatal mental health issues. These issues include depression, anxiety, mother and infant bonding difficulties, transition to parenthood, birth trauma, and grief arising from pregnancy loss, stillbirth or neonatal death.

I commenced my career as a musician and for many years I taught music in schools. I enjoy working with students and adults who have anxiety in academic and employment settings, and with performing artists who have career and lifestyle issues including performance anxiety.

I believe in the importance of listening without judgement to provide a safe environment in which to explore issues, and I develop a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients so that they can understand their feelings and unhelpful patterns of behaviour, reduce distress, and work towards positive change.

I am a psychology board approved supervisor, and an experienced group therapy facilitatorm, and hold memberships with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. My studies include a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at Monash University, Melbourne.
