B.A. (Hons)., & DPsych (clinical neuropsychology)
I work with clients who are experiencing thinking difficulties or are having difficulties with their mood, providing assessment, diagnosis or rehabilitation. Clients sometimes present with either emotional or thinking difficulties around either a medical condition or a crisis in their life.
I have particular interests in the assessment and treatment of thinking or mental health difficulties in people with depression or anxiety, neurological disorders, acquired brain injures, neurodegenerative conditions, and issues surrounding their capacity, and medical issues affecting their thinking skills.
My therapeutic style comes from a person-centred approach and I use a variety of evidence-based techniques for counselling, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions.
