Hi, my name is Dr. Peter Farnbach.

I am a highly experienced psychiatrist in the field of neurostimulation and my role is to oversee the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment service at VCPS’ East Melbourne clinic.

TMS is a non-invasive treatment delivered by an external magnetic coil placed above the scalp to stimulate targeted brain areas.

TMS is noted as an effective treatment for treatment-resistant depression.

I specialise in adult psychiatry with a particular interest in mood and anxiety disorders, neurofeedback, biofeedback, and behaviour therapy. I have worked on over 30 clinical trials that have focused predominantly on neuroscience. I completed my psychiatric training at the Austin Hospital and Ballarat Base Hospital before entering into private practice.
