VCPS delivers high quality, easy to access, psychological assessment, treatment and support services for all Defence personnel as part of BUPA’s ADF Health Services Contract. Utilising our Allied Health Provider Network of psychologists and other allied health disciplines, VCPS provides all of the recruitment, credentialing, and support for psychologists in the provider network, while also partnering with BUPA to facilitate the intake and triaging process for the allocation of new ADF clients referred to this service.

Please see our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for further information on the ADF program.

What is the VCPS Allied Health Provider Network?

The VCPS Allied Health Provider Network is made up of psychologists and other allied health and medical practitioners across Australia, including city, regional and rural locations. Practitioners working within the VCPS Allied Health Provider Network receive clinical and administrative support from our program support teams. VCPS has in place clinical governance and operating protocols including recruitment, delineation and IT support to ensure high quality clinical outcomes and standards of care.

We offer clients flexibility by undertaking consultations with our practitioners in a variety of locations and settings. These include from VCPS operated clinics and from our network affiliated and contracted providers’ clinics.

As a psychologist, how can I join the VCPS Allied Health Provider Network?

VCPS welcome all of our current network providers, as well as practitioners currently working under the existing Garrison Health Services contract, to register for this important and exciting opportunity. For practitioners who are currently seeing clients through the former contractor’s provider network, you will be able to continue working with your clients by registering with the VCPS Allied Health Provider Network.

We also invite psychologists who may not currently be a provider or part of the VCPS Network, but who have experience and/or interest in working with defence personnel. If you are new to this area of practice but are seeking to expand your training, experience and client base, we would be interested in hearing from you.

VCPS provides ongoing training and support to its provider network, as well as the opportunity to receive referrals from other local and Australia-wide government programs and private partnerships.

If you are interested in joining the VCPS Allied Health Provider Network, please submit an online Expression of Interest by clicking here: Submit an Expression of Interest. A member of the VCPS team will then be in contact to provide you with further information on the ADF program and how to register.
