With the recent health alerts of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have put additional measures in place, so we can continue to protect the health and safety of you, and our staff.

Appointment Options

To keep everyone safe and healthy, we request that all patients convert their in-person appointment to a Telehealth appointment. New Medicare item numbers are now available for video and telephone counselling by registered psychologists under arrangements announced by the Federal Government on March 11 to counter COVID-19. To find out if these new items are applicable to your circumstances contact us or speak directly with your practitioner.

Feeling Unwell?

If you suspect you have COVID-19, even if you are not experiencing any of the symptoms, please call the Alfred Hospital on (03) 9076 2000. If needed, they will arrange a screening test for you.

Video Conferencing

It is normal to feel uncertain about attending your consultation via video conferencing. VCPS has been conducting video consultations for many years with those in rural areas or where attending the practice is not suitable. Our video solution is health privacy compliant and can be used on any internet enabled device with a camera and microphone such as a smartphone or computer. Telephone calls

If you have arranged with your practitioner for a telephone consultation your practitioner will call your nominated phone number at the time of your appointment. Please be ready to commence the consultation at the arranged time.
